Silver Award October 2016

A very pleasing duty for the Festival Director John Thompson to visit Darlington this week, the home of St Oswald lodge to acknowledge the lodge achieving their silver festival award. The lodge has already collected 67% (over£9,000) of their target amount. Charity Steward and Benevolence representative Duncan Maw received and now wears the silver pin to signify the lodges amazing progress. John went on to thank Duncan personally for his hard work and to the brethren for the support they have given the festival, to date 81% of the brethren are giving on a regular basis with an average of £750 each projected. The newest entered apprentice received his jewel and an explanation from John on the Masonic Charitable Foundation and the amazing work they do for our organisation and the community as a whole. Well done St Oswald.
